The majority of Lin’s role is the verification of invoices on behalf of our clients, a key part of the service we offer for them. Any issues and problems that are identified can then be escalated to the relevant supplier and monitored through to resolution, whilst keeping account managers and clients updated.
Prior to joining Cost Advice in January 2021, Lin has over 25 years’ experience within various customer service environments, including banking, telecoms, debt recovery and energy management. Throughout these roles she has been able to develop her ability to organise and prioritise her workload and that of others, communicate well at various levels with both customers and colleagues, and given her a great eye for detail – imperative to her role here.
Attention to detail: “From inputting contracts to our internal systems, submitting meter readings, to verifying invoices and escalating problems to suppliers on behalf of our clients, this is vital. To be able to identify an issue with a contract set up by a supplier or an invoice issued, no matter how complex, and ensure it is corrected as soon as possible gives me great satisfaction – knowing that I have saved the client that time and effort and made their life easier. This all helps promote excellent relationships between Cost Advice and our clients”.”
Outside work Lin loves nothing more than a good gig, show or play, going to the cinema, and regularly attending Film & TV conventions across the country with her husband. If these can be incorporated into nice weekends away then all the better! She also enjoys socialising with a close circle of friends, enjoying a nice meal out and a good catch up. When she is actually AT home, Lin likes nothing more than relaxing with her husband and 2 dogs watching a good film or drama series on TV.
